Trenchless Water and Sewer Installation for Gulf Coast Utilities

New water mains and sewer lines often have to cross roads, driveways, waterways, and developed lots. Open-cut trenching tears all of that up, and the restoration bill can rival the pipe work itself. GriffinCo installs utility pipe underground with trenchless methods, so streets stay open and surfaces stay intact.

We work for municipalities, utility boards, and the general contractors who build for them across coastal Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida, with our home base in Mobile and Baldwin Counties.

What We Install

  • Potable water mains and service lines
  • Sanitary sewer force mains and gravity lines
  • Casing pipe for road, rail, and waterway crossings
  • Reclaimed water and storm lines

Why Utilities Choose Trenchless

  • Less disruption. Traffic keeps moving and residents keep their driveways.
  • Lower restoration cost. No trench means far less pavement, sidewalk, and landscape repair.
  • Crossings without closures. Bore under highways, rail lines, creeks, and wetlands that open-cut can’t touch.
  • Faster schedules. Less excavation and restoration shortens time on site.

Methods We Use for Water and Sewer Work

  • Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD): steerable bores for pressure lines over long runs and under obstacles.
  • Auger Boring (Jack & Bore): steel casing installed on line and grade for road and rail crossings.
  • Microtunneling and Slurry Shield Boring: remote-controlled precision for gravity sewer where line and grade must be exact.

Built for Bid Work

We’re set up to work from your plans and specs, coordinate with engineers and inspectors, and price bore work as a sub to your GC or directly to the owner.

  • Water and sewer work you’ve done or want (mains, force mains, gravity sewer, service lines)
  • Pipe materials you install (HDPE, fusible PVC, ductile iron, steel casing)
  • Do you bid directly to utilities, as a sub to GCs, or both?
  • Utility boards or municipalities you’ve worked for that we can name
